JavaScript Backend Developer

What you will be doing:

You work directly with the CTO and the Backend to develop and build new features for Nostragamus.

Explore new technologies and utilise latest developments to build stellar products.

You will be collaborating with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams.

You will be Implementing new backend features and systems mainly using JS and other languages.

What you should have:

You should have over 2 years of experience as JS Developer working with backed systems.

Expertise in Javascript (NodeJS), and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Go, Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college.

Should be able to work with various database systems sql, redis, key-value stores to name a few.

Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets.

Should be comfortable with working in linux, using git.

Mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments.

Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines.

Bonus Points:

Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.

Prior knowledge in building games at scale.

Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.

Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real world applications.
