Full Stack Trainer & Developer (Java/Spring)

Responsibilities (also find this short video explaining about the role)

You will have two responsibilities

Back End (Java) Developer Program Lead

1. Creating and iterating project-focused training content intended for delivery in the classroom, web-based and blended learning environments
2. Evaluation of student submissions and Code reviews
3. Build labs and practical assignment projects for students
4. Manage the lab and practical sessions of students
5. Delivering and/or facilitating training in classroom settings
6. Personal guidance and mentorship to students during office hours
7. Gathering internal knowledge and training requirements for both technical and role-based topics
8. Contributing to the strategy for scale and logistics

Member of Technical Staff at Great Learning

1. Develop applications using Java, Spring and Hibernate
2. Integrate user-facing front-end logic with server side logic
3. Design and develop user authentication, integration and authorization across systems
4. Design and develop Java-based RESTful APIs
5. Perform UI tests to optimize performance

Desired Skills & Experience

• Must have: Extensive experience in Java & J2EE, Spring framework and Hibernate
• Knowledge of MVC (Model View Controller) architecture, and various design patterns
• Should be familiar with RESTful and SOAP APIs, and web services
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, Agile development, and DevOps from a software development perspective
• Comfortable with multiple database environments, and extensive experience with SQL
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Javascript frameworks - React JS (preferred, but AngularJS will also do) are a plus
• Prior experience teaching or training groups in development using Java is strongly preferred

Qualifications

• 5+ years working in either a software engineering or IT operations environment or working as a freelancer
• Candidates with previous experience training/mentoring developers will be prioritized
• Prior experience in building end-to-end web applications from beginning to end
• Strong communication skills, and obsessive attention to detail
