Full Stack Node JS, MySQL engineer to work remotely

Grabbd is a VC backed start up we are a small team based in Dubai, Bangalore and London. We are looking for a full time backend engineer with Node JS / MySQL experience to join our team in Bangalore.

You are a BA of Science in Computer Science and Engineering or similar. At least 4 years of object-oriented programming experience. experience with search systems. Experience with search, recommendation engine, location based apps a plus. Excellent with Node Js. Able to work with large data sets. Able to work in fast paced, highly demanding environment and handle changing priorities. Ability to manage time across multiple, simultaneous projects

Experience and attributes we’d like you to have:

• 2+ years relevant experience in search/recommendations
• Strong domain knowledge in indexing and retrieval, recommendation and data mining.
• Experience with one or more of NoSQL , AWS, ELB, Elastic Cache, nginx
• Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
• A strong portfolio of past work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent skill set.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Would be great if you had:

Startup experience.

Experience in building Location based Apps, Search, Messaging technologies and Chat bot

Experience in consuming public APIs (Google, Foursquare etc)

Experience with distributed version control systems (git).

Experience in Machine Learning.
