Full Stack Developer (open for 0-1y exp as well)

Who are we?

At AffinityAnswers, we call ourselves a platform for Predictive Branding - essentially finding affinities that you have towards a brand (although it is a lot more complex than that). If you have seen ads when you visit some websites, it is likely that we have played a part in deciding if you have an (or likely to have an) affinity towards the advertiser’s brand. In the world of ad technology and programmatic advertising, we play a niche role. We are a 12-year-old company based out of Austin, Texas - with the entire engineering center in Bangalore. AffinityAnswers is small, nimble and profitable (and we are proud of it).

What does the person work on?

As a junior engineer in the team, the person will be working on several aspects of data engineering - data collection, data transformation, and data analysis. You will work with senior engineers in the team who are very helpful - so you will learn a lot. This means you will need to be strong in your fundamental programming skills and data structures. You do not have to know anything about fancy terms like Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence, but must be able to write solid code.  

What is the platform and language on which we write code? 

We write code on Linux based systems and write code in Java and Python languages. We expect the intern to have coded on Linux for some time and have basic knowledge in Unix command line. It is ok not to know Python, you can learn on the job. 

What this job is not?

This is not a 9-5 boring job. This is not a remote job, you must be in Bangalore. This is not a pure backend or pure front end job - it involves the entire stack.
